I
never knew how loud I was, but the way he jerked up from sleep told me all I
needed to know. I silently walked to the toilet and sat on the floor till
morning. At dawn, I went to my bag, got my wallet, went to his neighbour’s,
borrowed his phone and called in sick at work. I went back home, headed
straight to the wardrobe, packed my things and walked out of the house, all
through, Tunji just had his eyes fixed on me like a zombie.
