MY EXPERIENCE AT THE KING OF BOYS MOVIE PREMIERE

King of Boys Movie Premiere

There are a few movie premieres that I have attended and this one has been my best so far.

When I got the invite to this premiere, I went straight to check out the dress code for the event because I know my Lagos people; they do not joke when it comes to dressing to events. The dress code said ‘Gangster Royalty’. For a split second, I was blank… ‘Gangster what?’ I thought to myself and headed for my wardrobe to see if I could make out anything that spoke ‘Gangster and Royalty’ at the same time but no, I couldn’t.

Long story short, I decided that dressing safe was better than dressing wrong, so I went in for a big white shirt, slightly ripped sky blue denim trousers and a black plum heel; made up, grabbed my white purse and off I was to the premiere.

The Vendor is a comedy film that is mediocrely written and directed by Odunlade Adekola. He presented a tale of a young man’s misfortune in a fiercely forceful way. The movie features a range of actors like: Odunlade Adekola, Adunni Ade, Jide Kosoko and Pa James.

A PEEP INTO TULIP BISTRO…

TRIED THEIR CHICKEN CEASER SALAD, ENGLISH BREAKFAST, LOUISIANA PASTA, ORIENTAL RICE and CHICKEN KEBAB!

At different times, social media can be anything you want it to be and this time, it served as an eye opener for me.

After I visited Keje Grill and totally fell in love with their Ala-Veg, I asked my followers on Instagram to suggest a restaurant in Abuja where they were sure sold good food. Several restaurants were mentioned in the comment section but this particular lady sent me a direct message, assuring me that Tulip Bistro is one restaurant I will be grateful I visited. The confidence in her message made me give it a try.

TRANSCORP HILTON LAUNCHES THEIR SUSHI RESTAURANT, AFRO SUSHI.

What is more exciting than eating something new? Eating it at a very boogie restaurant. And boogie is the only word I have to describe the Launch of Afro Sushi at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

When I got the invite to attend the launch, I was ecstatic. I mean, I only came to Abuja to find my foot and there I was getting invites to dine with the Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria! Yeah, I met him at the event. Okay, let me tell you how it went down.

REVIEWING THEIR OFADA RICE, CHIPS, ALA-VEG AND JUICY CHICKEN!

One of these has to go: a bad movie or a horrible meal. Why on earth will someone who knows he/she cannot cook, cook and sell to the public. If that is not the height of inconsideration, what is?

This is my second time in Abuja. The first time, I came to try out my hands with travel vlogging, so I went to different places and made videos of my experience (My experience at Magic Land was the funniest! You should check it out .

The best Valentine's day Recipe: Reduce the pressure on the brother

The Best Valentine’s Day Recipe (2):

Reduce the pressure on the brothers!

Hi dear, so yet another Valentine’s day is upon us, actually, it is tomorrow; Oh gosh, that’s too close!

Let me start by saying that this is not one of those posts where I preach to you on how Valentine’s day is more about giving to the poor and less privileged. Nah! I have lived long enough on earth to know that Saint Valentine did a honorable job with giving to and caring for the poor and we sincerely appreciate him for that. In our century, however, we have long realized that we have the remaining 353 days to give to the poor and make them feel special; so how about we take out just one day, Valentine’s day, to show the ‘special someone’ in our lives just how special they are to us. Ladies, if you feel me, hit the subscribe button, so we can rub minds more often!

June The movie review

             JUNE.

June is a romantic comedy, mediocrely directed and produced by Desmond Elliot and Chinney Love respectively. They presented the very familiar tale of a dissatisfied rich kid who is not afraid to give up his inheritance for genuine happiness, in a not so impressing way.

The Ride, Episode 9

Episode 9

In Mercy hostel, our room was on the ground floor; the last room before the back gate, which was almost always locked. We lived in a self contain apartment, with a bathroom wide enough to contain just one person per time and the kitchen was attached to a small corner of the room, right beside the entrance, making it impossible to prepare a meal without your neighbors having a whiff of it.

The ritual was almost impossible to perform as my mum was just my mum. I was gone and Chinwe, her favorite child, was back from boarding house. Mummy was too occupied to remember that an Nkechi existed. I mean, how does a mother forget her own child? Well, only my mum had the answer to that question and even as her lady-child, I did not have the balls to find it out.
